Who We Are
Our Origins
Feeding the Carolina works in partnership with ten Feeding America affiliated Food Banks to fight food insecurity and its roots in North and South Carolina. Our members focus on serving and developing resources in their local communities while Feeding the Carolinas works across both states to leverage food and financial resources for our Food Banks.
We focus on our Farm to Food Bank program and other resources, educate and advocate around the root causes of hunger, make the connections between food and health, and respond to our communities during times of crisis.
Our Role
Feeding the Carolinas is a Partner Association of Feeding America, the nation’s leading hunger relief organization. We unite North and South Carolina’s network of ten member Food Banks working to provide a healthy, adequate, and consistent food supply to our communities. Feeding the Carolinas member Food Banks support more than 3,700 local charitable agencies, which serve the 2.3 million Carolinians across 146 counties facing hunger annually. Feeding the Carolinas also serves as a unified voice regarding hunger and food insecurity and is available to respond during times of crisis.
