Feeding the Carolinas Announces New Executive Director

Ann Edmondson will join the Feeding the Carolinas team as the organization’s next Executive Director. Ann brings more than two decades of leadership experience in membership associations in the Carolinas, as well as considerable expertise in communications and government relations. Her experience working with both grocers and growers in North and South Carolina will benefit our Food Banks tremendously. With Ann’s leadership, Feeding the Carolinas seeks to deepen its impact—strengthening partnerships, advancing advocacy efforts, and supporting our member Food Banks in their efforts to expand access to nutritious food across our communities, and create lasting solutions to address hunger.

“Ann is the right person at the right time to work with all of the Food Banks to help us reach new levels of success,” said Eric Aft, Chair of the Board of Directors, and CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC.  “The Board of Directors looks forward to warmly welcoming her as Feeding the Carolinas’ next leader.”

“The ten Food Banks that comprise the Feeding the Carolinas network are united in their daily mission to build and sustain a hunger-free North and South Carolina,” said Edmondson. “Throughout significant challenges in recent years, they have remained resilient, focused, and deeply committed to the communities they serve. It is an honor to join this effort and help strengthen a unified voice advancing such a critical and impactful mission.”

Ann’s tenure with Feeding the Carolinas will start on April 13th.  The Board of Directors welcomes Ann to the team, and also extends gratitude to outgoing Interim Executive Director, Fawn Pattison, and to Hannah Randall at Armstrong McGuire, who led the search on behalf of Feeding the Carolinas.
