Healing from Hurricane Helene

Activating Our Network to Help

Catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene devastated the western Carolinas on September 27, 2024, causing at least 157 reported deaths and major destruction of infrastructure and residential areas. All ten of our member Food Banks pulled together to support those impacted by Hurricane Helene with much-needed food and water. Five of our member Food Banks serve areas that were hard hit by the storm. One of our partners, MANNA Food Bank, lost their entire operation, and faced the daunting task of rebuilding completely while also serving a community devastated by this historic disaster.

How YOU Can Help

Donate or volunteer with your local Food Bank!

For every dollar donated, Food Banks can provide multiple meals of food — far more than any individual can purchase at retail prices. Food Banks are also able to tailor products and shipments to match local needs and capacity.
