Location Overview

Agency provides services for community members 50+:
  • Senior center
  • Group setting meals- served at the senior centers daily
  • Home delivered meals - delivers a hot, noon meal, M-F, to the homebound, elderly, age 60 and older who are otherwise unable to prepare food for themselves
  • Social contact and health and safety checks
  • Fit exercise classes
  • Nutrition classes
  • Transportation to center for Dorchester residents
  • Transportation for prescription pick-up
  • Special Interest classes
  • AC Window units
  • Specialized Information and Referrals - Information Resource Coordinator specializes in services directed at seniors

Eligibility

  • Both Senior Centers are open to all adults who meet the minimum age requirement of 50
  • For Dorchester County residents, there is no fee for the 12-month membership
  • For those folks who reside outside of the county, they must pay the current out-of-county fee
  • All members will be issued a membership card, which they must have in possession while at the center
  • membership will be resnewed annually on the date of joining

Fees
Senior Centers:
Membership is free for seniors age 50 and older if they are residents of Dorchester County. If they live in another county, there is a $24.00 membership fee each year. Some classes have a small fee.

Nutrition Services:
Free to clients referred by Trident Area Agency on Aging. Also available at $5 per meal.
