Eligibility
- Senior/Elderly
- Age 60 and older on the date of application
- Residency Requirements
- A resident of one of the 46 participating counties
- Low Income Individuals and Families
- Must meet income eligibility requirements.
- Applicants may self-declare their total household income (before taxes).
- Total household income cannot exceed 185% of the federal poverty income limit.
- A household is defined as a group of related or non-related individuals living together as one economic unit.
Application Process
- Application Required
- Applications will be completed IN-PERSON ONLY at approved or local senior-serving organizations (no online application this year).
- Customized Process
- Step 1 Attend a distribution event in your county of residence (view list on website)
- Step 2 Complete the application in person at an approved location
- Step 3 Once the application is approved, receive checks at the same location
- Step 4 Purchase fresh fruits at an authorized location/farmers
- A list of authorized farmers will be provided at pickup. Eligible participants will receive 5 SFMNP checks worth $10.00 each, for a total benefit of $50.00 that van be used at participating farmers' market to purchase fresh, locally grown produce
