Residency Requirements

  • Residents of Berkeley, Charleston, or Dorchester Counties
Low Income Individuals and Families
  • Must meet the Federal income guidelines of 125% of the poverty level

  • Appointments must be scheduled using the 'Main Number' 

Documents

  • Proof of Income
    • Valid State-issued photo ID or driver's license with the current address of the applicant
  • Proof of Income
    • Present total income for all household members within the past 30 days before application
    • Proof of sustainable monthly income
  • Social Security Number
    • Social security cards for all household members
  • Proof of Emergency
    • Delinquent bill for the past 30 days before the application date
  • Eviction notice (if one has been served)
    • Provide documentation of an emergency that affected income for all household members within the past 30 days of the application date
    • Verification of the emergency
